Jehovah-Jireh, which is the second name of God, speaks of the Lord God Providing His Son for our redemption and being our provider for all that we need.

After a retrenchment in 2002, I turned to God and said "This is in accordance with what You have planned for my life. I praise Your name and rely on You to guide my future and to provide for my needs".

At that time there were practically no employment opportunities open for me. Suddenly I had people contacting me for websites entirely unexpectedly (I had only dabbled with web design as a hobby). It was evident that God was directing my future.

Soon Web Mechanix was established and ever since then God has provided for me in no uncertain way. To Him be all the glory.

During this time He has strengthened my faith and brought me closer to Him. I do not always know where my business is coming from, but I do know who it is that will provide it.

I pray that God will bless you as much as He blesses me every day.

Update - 18 August 2009

So much has happened since I wrote this dedication in 2002 and I have been amiss not to include the rest of the story on this page. God has continued to bless me with good business as he does today, but I now have even more reason to glorify His name.

On the 14th of April 2005 I went into a pulmonary coma caused by excessive smoking and pneumonia. I was on life-support for 10 days and spent a total of two weeks in ICU. Transferring to various institutions, I was hospitalised for just over two months during which time I needed to re-learn how to walk due to my depleted strength.

During this time God was with me and my healing process astounded all my doctors. On my return to work, I had only lost one client who subsequently re-established a relationship with Web Mechanix and I had more new business than I could handle. Since then my health and business have improved and needless to say - I gave up smoking!

God continued to bless me in other ways and in 2006 this crusty old bachelor tied the knot with a beautiful lady I am now proud to call my wife. (see Cate @ the Piano)

On the 27th August 2009 I was rushed to hospital where I was taken up and immediately wheeled into theatre for an emergency hernia repair operation. I will not go into detail but according to the surgeon my system was being poisoned and I would not survive the night without surgery.

Today it is three weeks later and I am back at my desk without having lost any business and now have more prospective projects than I could have imagined.

The truth of it all is that God is control. I thank him every day for his grace, his mercy and his love.
